Thanksgiving Creamy Dreamy Spinach


Creamy Dreamy Spinach Ingredients: - 1 lb fresh spinach - 2 tbsp unsalted butter - 1 small onion, finely chopped - 3 cloves garlic, minced - 1 cup heavy cream - Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Wash the spinach thoroughly and drain it well. Remove any tough stems from the leaves if necessary.
  2. In a large skillet or saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until they are softened but not browned - about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic to the pan with the onions and cook for an additional minute, stirring constantly so that the garlic does not burn.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture just to a simmer. Lower the heat to low and let it cook gently while you add the spinach.
  5. Add the spinach to the pan in batches, allowing each batch to wilt before adding more. Once all of the spinach has been added, continue cooking the mixture until it thickens slightly and the flavors meld together. This should take around 10 minutes.
  6. Season your creamed spinach with salt and pepper according to taste. Serve hot as a side dish alongside grilled meats, roast chicken, or fish dishes. Enjoy!
