Thanksgiving Red Wine Cranberry Sauce with Honey

Red Wine Cranberry Sauce with Honey Ingredients: - 12 oz fresh cranberries - 3/4 cup honey - 1 cup red wine - zest and juice of one orange

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, honey, red wine, orange zest, and orange juice. Stir well to mix all the ingredients together.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes until the cranberries have burst open and the sauce has thickened slightly. Stir occasionally during this time.
  3. Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool down completely before serving or storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This can be made ahead of time and stored for up to two weeks.

This unique twist on traditional cranberry sauce combines tartness from the cranberries with sweetness from honey and fruity notes from the red wine and orange zest. It's perfect as a Thanksgiving side dish or holiday dessert served alongside turkey, pork tenderloin, or even ice cream!
