Thanksgiving Tangerine Sorbet with Sake

Tangerine Sorbet with Sake Ingredients: - 2 cups tangerines, peeled and seeded - 1 cup sugar - 1/4 cup water - 3 tablespoons sake

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and water. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely to create simple syrup. Remove from heat and let cool for about 5 minutes.
  2. Place the peeled and seeded tangerines in a food processor or blender. Add the cooled simple syrup to the tangerines and blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and follow your machine's instructions for churning sorbet. This usually takes around 20-30 minutes depending on your specific device.
  4. During the last few minutes of churning, add the sake gradually while continuing to mix. Once fully incorporated, transfer the finished sorbet to an air tight container and place it in the freezer for at least 2 hours before serving.
  5. When ready to serve, scoop out portions of the sorbet and enjoy immediately!
